JWA's vision for the Jewish future

jewish-futures-video-slide-.jpg This short video, produced for the Jewish Futures competition, represents JWA's vision for the Jewish future—one where everyone and anyone has the power to change and expand the Jewish narrative. Although our video did not win the competition, the judges liked it so much that they chose to screen it at the closing session of the Jewish Futures Conference in Denver on November 7, 2011.

JWA on the road in Philadelphia

Institute 2010 The National Museum of American Jewish History and JWA are collaborating on a program on the role of Jews in the Civil Rights Movement. Judith Rosenbaum, JWA’s Director of Public History, will lead a session introducing educators to JWA’s Living the Legacy curriculum and then moderate a panel on Sunday, December 11, 2011, at the museum. The workshop is from 1:00 to 2:30 and is free. The panel discussion begins at 3:30; tickets are $8 (free for museum members.)

Sharing, telling bat mitzvah stories

From the heartwarming to the hilarious, the mortifying to the memorable, these stories cover the range of bat mitzvah experiences. JWA's new site, MyBatMitzvahStory.org, provides the next generation of bat mitzvah-age girls with a safe, fun setting to explore and express their emerging identities.
